Vowed Members of Emmaus
The vowed members of the Emmaus Community are Roman Catholic women who have responded to the call of Jesus to live a deepened, radical version of the commitment made at baptism, in a life “hidden with Christ in God” (Col. 3:3). We have given ourselves – mind, body and spirit – to Jesus, made our “yes” to his invitation to spiritual intimacy, by embracing three vows that help us live out that commitment: stability, conversion of life, and obedience under the monastic discipline of the Rule of St. Benedict.

Monastic Experience for Women

While we invite you to visit at any time, you might wish to consider joining us during our annual monastic experience in 2008. Contact us for details.

Our God will weave one fabric
From the strands of our lives.
He will take us
Where we would not go.

We follow
Ever on the road to God
Trusting in His faithfulness.

For God is all
And everything.
Trusting Him we follow with our lives
A road we would not go
.
